About our guides

We make great, interactive travel guides.
To make our guides we use the content that is freely available. Open content sites like Wikitravel, Wikipedia, World66 and Openstreetmap are among the best resources for any traveler. Our mission is to make that content relevant for you. So we mix and mash and annotate - and we distill great, relevant travel guides out of it.

We like open content. In fact some of us were involved in World66, one of the first open content travel guides on the web. Our travel guides are very much a re-mix of open content out there.

Currently were using content from: Wikipedia, Wikitravel, World66, Open Streetmaps, DMOZ and Chefmoz

Were big fans of these projects. If you stumble across some inaccurate information in this guide, we would appreciate
it if you correct it on the web site of these projects.

Pros and cons of Amsterdam Travel Guide-Triposo app for iPhone and iPad

Amsterdam Travel Guide-Triposo app good for

Triposo is great for anywhere you plan to travel. It is easy to build a list of places you plan to visit, the app plots them on the map which is then accessible without wifi when you get to your destination. Very easy to navigate and full of so much good information.
This is my first feedback ever! I decided to leave my feedback as it is the greatest Amsterdam guide! All sightseeing ! It shows your location and all famous places locations without using wifi! And you also can find detailed information for each sightseeing. I had great time in Amsterdam thanks to you!!!!
The most convenient, easy to use and complete guide among all I tried from the apple store. It includes very detailed articles about the sights which are available offline. The map is great! Easy to find what interests you most in the city and follow. Thank you!
Dear team, please add coffeeshops as object category for search.) I bet its very popular search ;)
It is a really good app! You can save your hotel, yr favourite restaurants and everythink you want on the map. There are lots of info about what you are visiting, and by clicking on a building, on a museum or another point of interest, you can see all the info and its position on the map! Grate
This app is one of the best free ones for travel. The only suggestion I have is that the metro map is not very clear, as I cant seem to find some of the stations on the bus. Besides that, the app is almost perfect for travel and has helped immensely.

Some bad moments

This app is well done, links to rating details are interesting, but there are drawbacks in the map function : no research function, and the map function has bugs and very often, opening the map simply shuts down the app.
I love to travel and have added all 29 FREE travel guides by Triposo to my collection of travel apps on my iOS device. Each Triposo Guide is very well-done and packed with useful information and pictures. None of the guides have crashed on me. Triposo Guides will definitely give these guides, which are also apps a run for their money: “Nepal World Travel”; Frommer’s Guides; Keen Guides; and Lonely Planet Travel Guides. The smallest-size Triposo Guide is Chicago Travel Guide at 13.6 MB; the largest is Moscow Travel Guide at 115.9 MB.
I used this a lot. was great to read up on sites in bed the night before. and with offline maps, one of the few apps out there I can use with my ipod. Thanks so much Triposo! Liked it so much, now downloading the other ones for Germany, Cologne, Munich, and Paris for upcoming trips there.
I have almost all the apps for Amsterdam including the lonely planet one. This is by far the best! Love how it can be used offline. It also gives you recommendation based on your location. I recommend that they also have the tram route for download (even with a fee) would makes it perfect !
I am traveling in Europe and using your apps in Belgium, Swiss, and now in Amsterdam. First I must say they are excellent apps. They work in offline mode and include tons of information for us travelers. They simply rocked in the first half of my trip. But now I am in Amsterdam, and your app crashed both my iPhone and mini in less than a few hours - both devices would shut down on me, and my phone went all black and stayed warm till it drained all the power. Since this is the only app I am using, and both devices crashed from using this app, I suspect there is a bug. Please check!!
This version crashes when I tries to load the map on both iPhone and iPad. Please fix! App is pretty useless without the map.
